The Future of Repair

Let us introduce you too our automated repair machine concept!
This machine combines a multitude of different designs and technologies to create a machine that is simple to use and that is very efficient. These machines work similarly like your typical ATM.

All you have to do is to select the device you want to have repaired from the available list.

Once you have selected the device that should be repaired you will be promoted with the cost of the repair.

When you have accepted the price follow the instructions on screen with will instruct you where to insert your device.

You will then receive a Passcode and an estimated repair time that you should write down if you cannot receive it on via SMS or E-Mail. The code will be asked for when you want to pickup your device after the repair.

So lets take a look into the workings behind the facade.
The front section of the machine consists of the user interface section, containing the screen, the printing components, input-bay and small lift that connects this section to the repair-bay section.
The machine has space for a total of 9 module-bays. This modular design will allow us to adjust the supported devices of the machine depending on the local market.

So lets take a look at one of the modules that could be inserted into one of the repair bays.
The modules will consist of 3 compartments: The repair-bay, a storage compartment and a emergency 3D printer.
The repair bay is the main working compartment here is where the device will be opened an serviced on. The storage compartment will be where the replacement parts will be stored. It will contain the common components that break for the given devices. An example would be screens, battery’s and camera modules. The 3D printer is only there for emergency’s an example for its use would be that the device has a broken frame that isn’t in the storage unit.

These repair machines could be placed anywhere where they could prove to be practical. A train-station, a mall or let’s say a coffee shop?

Benefits of automated repair
For you this invention would be a clear benefit, because it allows you to quickly and confidently repair your device.
But companies can benefit from this as well!
If machines are allowed to repair devices it could provide an incentive to company’s to work together with us on a module. This would allow them provide a repair service for devices where they would rather keep the internal layout and components secret. This fact should encourage manufactures to create products that are at least repairable by our machine.
